The main theme of the workshop is environment, energy and sustainability which are the current challenges being faced by the engineers and scientists around the world today. In addition to the main theme, the workshop will also cover the recent advances in chemical and allied fields such as novel separation techniques, process intensification, etc. Like any nation in the world, the challenges facing the sustainability of technological advancement of chemical industry in India today are re-inventing the use of materials, Processes, methods and interdisciplinary technological techniques. To address this challenge, Chemical Technology/Chemical Engineering is actually central to many of the environmental issues at the heart of sustainable development. With this idea, the Chemical Engineering Department, RVR & JC College of Engineering (A), Guntur is planning to organize a National workshop on “Advances in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development” on 7th February 2015. This workshop deliberates the newest technologies for sustainable development in chemical engineering, through careful analysis of the technical aspects, and discussion of the possible fields of industrial development. It is to bring together Scientists, Technocrats, Entrepreneurs, Researchers, Regulatory Authorities and the younger generation of students to our forum. The basic objectives of the workshop are: 1.
